Floral Trends and Inspiration - Oversized Bridal Bouquets

Hi all,

So recently we appeared on Boho Weddings blog as the resident expert talking all about floral inspiration and in particular over sized bridal bouquets.  If you would like to read the blog in full the just click on this link and pop over to Boho but I thought I would give you a quick round up of what T had to say on the subject and how you can adapt these trends to fit your wedding day.  Over to T:

Hi everyone,

Now it has to be said that everyone here at Team Campbell's is a huge fan of the wild and wonderful wedding bouquets.  Not only are they a fantastic statement piece, but they are incredibly versatile as they can be made in a variety of shapes and styles to totally work with your beautiful gown.  This fabulous trend is something that works well with our ethos here at Campbell's HQ of creating beautiful, natural designs which let the materials we are working with really shine.  We also just adore all the forms, colours and textures we incorporate into our large-scale bouquets and just love the chance to use fabulous foliage too to enhance the beautiful blooms

So whether you are wanting pretty pastels, pops of colour or seasonal shades there is something for everyone's style and budget, just check out the images below if you don't believe us.  Enjoy!

Emma and Chris's Northorpe Hall Wedding - Natural sprigs and woodland charm.

Hi all,

Today we are bringing you a super Spring wedding from May this year.  Emma and Chris got married at the beautiful Northorpe Hall which provided a natural and relaxed atmosphere, within just stunning gardens, which is just what the couple were aiming for.

Emma had quite a specific request with regards to her bouquet, she suffers with hay fever so T couldn't use anything too scented.  Sometimes we have to take things other than aesthetics into account but as always it's never a problem.  Our lovely bride wanted a very natural, woodland feel to the day with plenty of twigs and branches.  For the brides bouquet T chose to use low pollinators like wheat, barley, succulents, dried lavender, twigs, bluebells, euphorbia, berries, thistles, sweet peas and viburnum opulus with many of the blooms being British grown.

The bridesmaids had a similar design to the brides but smaller.  The buttonholes were a sprig style design including a white thistle and wheat. We just love this pretty cool, but soft colour palette.

Alice and Mark's Thornbridge Hall Wedding - A traditional day with pretty little florals.

Hi all,

Alice and Mark got married July this year at Baslow Church then onto Thornbridge Hall for the reception.  They wanted quite a traditional feel to the wedding which is really reflected in the photographs, with pictures of the bride at home and a beautiful church ceremony.

For her bouquet Alice gave T the brief of a country garden look with a heathery, muted colour pallet. The flowers chosen were lavender, heather, white thistle, astilbe, lisianthus, roses (including my favourite 'Memory Lane'), 'Vendella', David Austin 'Patience' and spray roses.  My favourite little addition by far though was the pale pink chrysanthemum's, they are the ones that look like little pom pom's.

For the bridesmaids T designed a smaller bouquet similar to the brides but with an even more of a muted colour pallet so they stood out against the bridesmaids dresses.  Buttonholes were kept to a focal designs with a single 'Memory Lane' rose.

Again this wedding was made a little bit more special as we were working along side fellow Lightspacer Ellie Grace Photography.  Gorgeous pictures as always.

Ali and Jaime's Losehill House Wedding - Peonies, roses and floral curtains

Hi all,

Ali and Jaime got married in June at Losehill House on a gorgeous sunny day, nice enough that Jaime managed to get in a little bike ride before the ceremony. The couple wanted a relaxed feel to the day and by the look of things that's what they got.

Flowers were very important for Ali, so much so that she knew their wedding would have to take plae in June so that she could have a day filled with peonies -  as she has grown up around her mum's love of flowers.  So, as always, T rose to the challenge and came up with some stunning designs.  For her bouquet Ali wanted more flowers than foliage and a round quite compact design.  The flowers chosen were David Austin 'Kira' and 'Patience', white peonies, pale pink peonies, 'Vendella' roses, ranunculus, white spray roses, white stocks and anemones.

The bride and the bridesmaids had little roses in their hair.  For the bridesmaids bouquet Ali went for a similar design to hers, just slightly smaller.  Buttonholes were kept classic and simple with a focal design.

Now we get to the venue flowers, I must admit these are some of the most gorgeous venue flowers I have seen, absolutely stunning.  The pew ends were breath taking but not a patch on the floral curtain made using Peonies.  I just love it.

Ali and Jaime were such a pleasure to work with and the icing on the wedding cake was a brilliant thank you e-mail from the bride herself which we blogged a couple of weeks ago.  Just follow this link to read more.

Massive thanks to HBA Photography for the amazing photographs!

Amelia and Richard's Losehill House Wedding - Soft, romantic blooms and handsome hounds.

Hi all,

I can't tell you how over them moon I was when T came to me and told me that we were designing for a wedding and the bride was wearing 'the dress', so let me give you a bit of background.  Last year we did a photo shoot with some amazing industry professionals and one of the models was wearing this gorgeous dress by Sassi Holford called Marilyn from The White Room and I fell totally in love. The design, fit and style is right up my street so I was so excited when I heard that the lovely Amelia would be wearing it.

Amelia and Richard got married at Losehill House in June this year, a venue that we love to work at, such stunning views.

After chatting with Amelia it was clear to us that she wanted a very soft romantic (just like the dress) feel to the day and designs.  For the brides bouquet Amelia asked for an asymmetric design, quite messy with plenty of foliage.  The flowers T chose were David Austin 'Kiera', David Austin 'Darcy', raspberry protea, pale pink and pink astilbe, spray roses, scented stocks, 'Sarah Bernhardt' peony, small cerise roses, pale pink lisianthus, olive foliage, eucalyptus, heather and ferns.  Amelia also had matching hair flowers attached to the prettiest headband.

The couple had 2 bridesmaids one of which was a super cute flower girl.  For their bouquets they chose flowers similar to the brides bouquet but a little smaller more compact design.  The flower girls also had a stunning little flower crown.

Buttonholes were kept simple and classic.

The ceremony table design was just incredible, as you will see in the pictures.  T had such fun designing this show stopping arrangement with lots of wow factor!
