I've been thinking about alternative Christmas wreaths in the workroom this week, which has proved really therapeutic and calming in what has been a crazy few days. Maintaining focus when starting a new business is challenging, to say the least and with my natural thirst for knowledge, it's incredibly easy to get distracted by tweets featuring stunning photographs, amusing and informative blogs and pertinent points on Facebook!
My design style is as ever simple, hand-crafted, using the best materials, as creatively as possible and always made with love.
Campbell's Flowers design vintage inspired, romantic, pretty flowers with a 'just picked' look. We strive to source our flowers locally and ethically and buy British wherever possible. We love to share our flowery experiences and our blog not only showcases our lovely weddings and gorgeous photo shoot inspiration, but also features heaps of DIY tutorials and all our latest work.

Flower School - Foraging for Foliage
It's a strange time of the year in the florist's calendar. It's still technically Autumn, but it's not quite Christmas. Commercial foliage is in abundance, some with the benefit of a bit of added sparkle, but if you love the outdoors, you can't help but notice that at this time of the year many garden shrubs are coming into their own. So, while we ruin our nails and make our fingers sore mossing wreaths and wiring sprigs of Blue Spruce in the lead up to the Festive Season, I thought I'd take a look at using foliages which have the benefit of being free.

Flower School - A Celebration Cake Tutorial
Level Beginner/Intermediate
The Lorraine Pascale inspired floral cake I made for Pure Enough was for a 1st Birthday, but this design could easily be adapted to make a wonderfully creative Christmas table decoration or even a dramatic alternative to a traditional wedding cake ... especially if a multitude of cupcakes and sweetie treats are on offer! Here's my first Campbell's Flower School tutorial:

Corporate Floristry - A 1st Birthday Celebration Cake ... an homage to Lorraine Pascale
A couple of weeks ago I popped into Pure Enough on Ecclesall Road to see the lovely Amy Freann Worthington who had some great ideas on how to celebrate her first year in business, these include a whole host of exciting offers and treats such as cupcakes from Snap Deli, skincare advice and demonstrations from Arka and free hand massage from holistic therapist, Helen.

Wedding Flowers - Joe & Rach's Vintage Wedding
Joe and Rach's wonderful wedding had a lovely country fair and vintage theme. They were married at the Botanical Gardens in Sheffield and then travelled out to Shatton Barn in Derbyshire where the beautiful surrounding meadow hosted a coconut shy, tug'o'war and welly-throwing! The Barn was decorated with handmade bunting, homemade favours, cakes and summer cottage flowers.
Brand Development
Marvellous monograms! Truthstudio have created these lovely little icons which I can use as profile pictures or for on-line social media and marketing purposes. Each one uses the initial cap of my logo combined with the background that represents my different areas of work. There is an extra one, as usual ... just in case!

New Business Cards
Today's one full of excitment. My first blog and my business cards have just arrived.
Here they are, hot off the press.... I've chosen to have four different business cards designed and printed. Each card represents a different facet of my business - Campbell's Flower School, Campbell's Wedding Flowers, Campbell's Corporate Floristy and a generic card just in case!
