Campbell's Calendar - Wreaths, Roses & Sunshine in the Snow!

Hello everyone, hope you've all had a great week.  Mine's been a real mixed bag, you know when you feel all a bit irritable and generally just a bit grumpy and over tired - I'm feeling ever so slightly like a fractious toddler! Having said that, nothing's gone particularly wrong, in fact, a lot's gone very right this week - I think I need to slow down!  So, in the run up to Christmas I'm going to do just that by applying the brakes slightly and easing on into the festive season, which is absolutely my most favourite time of the year!  I love all the getting together with family and friends, all the over-indulging, dressing up and generally having a lovely time.

Anyway, here's what we did get up to this week ....

Sunday

With M away at a motorbike event all day, I spent  some time in the workroom making up a few wreaths for orders - here's one I snapped before it went off to its new home ...

Once Izzy, my youngest daughter surfaced, we had a bit of a girly day together. She's very good at nails and, continuing on with the girly theme, I have to say this new Essie nail polish and non-chip top coat is fantastic - it literally lasted til Friday.  Which on a florist's hands is incredible!

Monday

I caught up with a really lovely industry friend, Lauretta from Boutique Paeony, to discuss all things flowery, eat her delicious home made lemon cake and come up with some plans for next year!  Then on to another meeting with Sophie Colgate to talk over our latest project together which involved putting together a photo shoot in record time! We also discussed flowers too, some of which included these beauties ...

Tuesday

Was another of our wonderful workshops. We all met in La Petite Salle and were treated to some very delicious teas and cakes whilst working hard on designing and creating some absolutely gorgeous wreaths - here are a couple of pics from the night.

We've just three more Christmas workshops left now, so if you'd like to make yourself a fabulous wreath, topiary tree or table decoration to show off to friends and family over the festive season, pop over to our website for details or do get in touch

Wednesday

Had the most fantastic consultation with the lovely Roxy & Calum who are getting married next September at the gorgeous Wood Lane Countryside Centre.  They've got some amazing ideas for their wedding - especially given that Calum used to work there and they are both massively into British grown flowers and bio-diversity.  They are thinking of growing some of their own flowers to include in their designs, which will definitely include this gorgeous vetch ...

Thursday

We were delighted to find ourselves in our local paper, the Sheffield Telegraph, with a story which had come about from our Women of Steel shoot.  Here's the link if you missed it http://bit.ly/SMXlp3http://bit.ly/SMXlp3

Friday

We spend a very chilly, but wonderful day out in Derbyshire amongst the heather, snow and stunning scenery for our latest shoot.  It was simply gorgeous.  The atmosphere all day was so relaxed and marvellous, working with like-minded amazing professionals has to be my most favourite thing! MASSIVE thanks go to the gorgeous Jess Petrie and Jenn Edwards and of course the very beautiful Sophie and Matt.  Here are a couple of preview pics ... without giving the game away too much!

Oh my! I have no adjectives left!

And, a commission from a lady in London to welcome her sister into her new home, here in Sheffield - the arrangement was in a lovely pewter jug, so the flowers looked beautiful there and then without having to unpack too much!

Saturday

A slightly quieter day.  The tree went up and the hounds helped!

Right! I'm off to peel some spuds for today's lunch! Sending much love to all.  Monday looks to be a bit exciting - I've been asked onto our local radio!  I'll let you know more when I do!

Have a fab week peeps.

Tx
