Pretty Flamingo - Perfect Sixties Pastel Inspiration

Hello all

Hope you're all enjoying the lovely change in weather, I'm writing this to you on a beautiful sunny day, filling in for our Amy who is back later this week from her happy hols. We all can't wait to have her back!

So I thought I'd share a fab shoot we got involved with just recently and which we're really proud to say has featured on Johanna Payton's uber stylish blog The Fashion Detective - pop over for some wonderful sixties inspiration, it's beyond fab!

As regular readers will know, we just love collaborating with new and old friends and were delighted when the very lovely Julia Jeckell got in touch to say she was working with fab photographer Ellie Grace on putting together a gorgeous pastel inspired shoot featuring lots of sixties styling and would I be interested in designing a bouquet?  Naturally I jumped at the chance and I think the results speak for themselves!

Grab a cuppa and a biccy and enjoy ....

Romantic Roses & Perfect Peonies - Sian and Nick's Late Spring Marquee Wedding

Due to technical difficulties (the camera broke) we have been unable to share as many of our own pictures of recent weddings as we would like but great news, it's fixed!  So today we are bringing you the wedding of Sian and Nick from May 2015.

Sian came to see T for her consultation quite a while back and they really hit it off straight away. Sian said that T 'got her' straight away and booked was so enthusiastic and excited she pretty much booked with us there and then.  As you know, we absolutely love working so closely with our brides and really pride ourselves on being able to interpret ideas so brides really get exactly what they want for their special day.

Sian and Nick got married at the very beautiful St Wilfred's Church in Cantley and then went back to her Dad's garden where they had set up a huge marquee.  Sian's step mum had decorated the marquee with tons of gyp and roses but to take a little pressure off of her we not only designed all the bridal flowers and buttonholes, but also a couple of gorgeous pedestal design overflowing with blowsy blooms, together with the pew ends for the  church in cute little rope handles jars.

Sian went for a compact, romantic style for her bouquet which was really classical elegant and incredibly stylish.  The choice of colours and textures were really gorgeous, with flowers and foliage which included stocks, 'Vendella' roses, hydrangea, astilbe, lisianthus, dahlia, stachys,  'Jana' spray rose and massive peonies.  For a very personal touch Sian had a picture of her grandad Roberts, with whom she was very close,  hanging from her bouquet who sadly passed away 3 years ago.

The couple went for wrist corsages for the women instead of buttonholes which was something a little bit different.

The cake was made by Swoon bakery decorated with flowers by us.

Beautiful Blooms for British Flowers Week

Hi all!

Hurrah!!  British Flowers Week is upon us once more and as you may have guessed it's one of our favourite times of year.  We are chuffed to bits that it's now in its third year and getting the media coverage that it so richly deserves.

When T started Campbell's Flowers four years ago British grown was something that she always wanted to support and represent within the business and being one of the first to design in a very natural, 'just picked' style, felt passionately that seasonal and British grown was the way forward. To show just what she meant by 'wildflowers' and 'meadowy' she organised a photo shoot for her portfolio which, you guessed it, was based around all British grown flowers.

We thought we would share with you a few of our favourite shots of all British flowers and are so thrilled to be a part of such an important annual event.

Flower Crowns & Flower Girls - Maddie & Mike's Spring Farm Wedding

One of the things that we all love most about our jobs here at Campbell's is the variety of weddings we get to design for, from large to small they are all so special and unique, as are the couples we work with.  Maddie and Mike's wedding was no exception and had a place in all our hearts as the day was very much about family!

There were lots of kids there to celebrate with them and the bridesmaids were Maddie's children. Maddie decided against a bouquet as she knew she would end up carrying her son around for much of the day (being a newish mum I can totally relate to this!).  So all the girls all wore gorgeous hair flowers specifically chosen for their ability to last a long time out of water, we used apricot and cream lisianthus, solidago, white thistle, pink gypsophila and chrysanthemum daisies.

Maddie and Mike chose locally grown seasonal blooms for their table arrangements to create a very meadowy look to suit the venue, which was in a wonderful barn, beautifully decorated at Totley Hall Farm, a working farm.  Because the couple knew they wanted to spend as much of the day as possible with their family and friends, they called in the help of the very lovely and really wonderful Unique Wedding Planning, who kindly recommended us to Maddie and Mike, with Josh making sure that the day ran  not only smoothly, but was great fun for all.

A massive thanks to Sarah Wedding Photographer for the amazing photos.

Wild Flowers & A Heavenly Scent - Laurel & David's Hargate Hall Spring Wedding

Hello all!

Part of my job here at Campbell's is to keep in touch with our brides, making sure that they're beyond happy with everything we do for them.  So, you can imagine, I was super excited when these stunning photographs landed in my inbox the other day from Laurel, one of our lovely brides, who was married to David in April this year.

Laurel wanted quite a 'wild' look to her bouquet after seeing some of T's designs which she and Mel had put together for a previous wedding.  Laurel's bouquet included cream lisianthus, 'Jana' spray roses, 'Vendella' roses, pink tulips, pale pink ranunculus, tanacetum dasies, blue and pink hyacinths, white astrantia and 'Sweet Avalanche' roses.  As well as looking incredible, the combination of the flowers chosen created an amazing scent.

We'd like to say a huge thank you to Laurel & David for thinking of us and also to the so the very talented Jon from S6 Photography for letting us share his incredible photographs.
