Kerri and Eoin, St Mary's Church and The Workstation - Aquatic Plants and The Great Barrier Reef

Hi all,

So when I think of this wedding all I can hear in my head is Sebastian the crab from The Little Mermaid singing 'Under the sea!'.  No, I am not going absolutely crazy, I will explain.  Kerri and Eoin who got married at St Matthews Church with the reception at The Workstation, are divers and asked that their flowers reflect their passion.  Kerri wanted her bouquet to look like underwater plants, such as sea anemones and corals which they had seen whilst diving the Great Barrier Reef.  I was so excited when I saw the brief that T was given and as always she didn't disappoint with the design.

For the general feel of the bouquet Kerri wanted a loose 'just picked' look.  Flower wise T did a brilliant job at achieving the underwater look that the couple wanted.  The flowers chosen were open pink wax flower, blue delphinium, craspedia, blue thistles, solidago, scabious seed pods, eucalyptus and green bell.

For the bridesmaids Kerri and Eoin chose to have smaller versions of the brides bouquet.  The buttonholes were a simple sprig design too, to tie in with the generally relaxed look and feel.

So here are the gorgeous pictures, enjoy people!

A big shout out has to go to our fellow Light Space Collective friend and uber creative photographer,  Ellie Grace Photography

Beth and Paul, The Rutland Arms Hotel, Bakewell - Succulents and Spring Days

Hi all,

Today we are bringing you a real wedding from April this year which took place at The Rutland Hotel in Bakewell.  Beth and Paul wanted a low key, intimate wedding so this venue provided the perfect place for such a day.  The surroundings provided a great backdrop for the photographs too which you will see below.

Moving on to the bride's bouquet, the colour palette was pale, soft, muted nude tones with champagnes, creams and whites in a hand tied design with a little softness. As you'll see from the gorgeous shots, Beth wanted succulents in her bouquet and you can watch T chat about this trend on our YouTube Channel just click on this link.  Using Beth's brief, T decided to on 'Vendella' roses, senecio, brunia, tulips, hyacinths, ranunculus, lisianthus and Yorkshire lavender.

For the bridesmaids, Beth chose to have smaller versions of her own bouquet, T made sure she used the Yorkshire lavander in there to compliment the gorgeous dusky purple bridesmaids dresses.  Beth and Paul chose a classic focal design for the buttonholes.

The mantle piece flowers were a stunning addition to the venue with long and low designs reflecting with subtle colour pallet.

This wonderful email popped up in T's in box, which we just had to share ...

Dear Tracey,

Paul and I have just got back home and to reality after our honeymoon and wanted to send you a big thank you for such wonderful flowers on our wedding day in early April.

I can't describe how beautiful they were, they were just perfect.

We adored the colours, I know I tortured myself for months over not having a theme or specific colour scheme but the design and the flowers just bought everything together. You seem to have a wonderful way of knowing brides better than they know themselves! They bought that large room to life and made it look so elegant, everyone keeps mentioning how amazing they were!

I can't thank you enough. The flowers were the only thing I wanted from the day (apart from marrying Paul...mustn't forget that one!) and you just surpassed everything I could've imagined. Thank you for everything, you and your team are absolute gems.

I've attached a couple of pics from Tom Hodgson Photography with the flowers in (hopefully I have attached them right!).

Thank you so much, I can't say it enough!!

Isn't that just lovely?  I'm feeling all warm and toasty!

Black Swan White Swan

Hi all,

So we have said before and we will say it again, we feel so lucky to be part of Light Space Collective because it means we get to be involved in amazing, creative photoshoots like this.  T is a massive fan of the ballet so this was especially exciting for her, however, this is all new to me (I watched the film if that counts?) and I must say the shapes cast by the models and beauty of this shoot blew me away.

See for yourself......
