Rose and Oli, Sheffield Town Hall & The Millennium Galleries - Understated elegance with a touch of vintage.

Hi all,

Today we are bringing you a wedding from spring this year.  We were lucky enough to be working with a fellow Lightspacer on this wedding in the form of the lovely Jon from S6 Photography.  It's always a great little bonus to be working with our studio mates especially on such a beautiful wedding with a lovely couple.

Rose and Oli got married in the heart of Sheffield at the Town Hall with the reception being held just around the corner at The Millennium Galleries. The couple wanted a very understated elegant feel to the day with a sightly vintage look and boy did they achieve this.

For the bouquet Rose wanted a round shape with a just picked feel and plenty of texture.  The colour pallet was white, creams, champagnes and silvers.  For the design T chose to use snowdrops, white astrantia, 'apricot' lisianthus, cream wax flower, senecio, eucalyptus berries, rosemary, tulips and freesia.

The bridesmaids had smaller versions of the brides bouquet with the flowers girls having hoops with with little sprigs of flowers attached.  For the buttonholes Rose and Oli chose sprig designs to keep with the vintage look.

Massive thanks to S6 Photography for letting us use these fabulous images.

Melanie and Chris, Cressbrook Hall, Derbyshire - Icy Silvers and Candlelit Ceremonies

Hi all,

So today I am bringing you a wedding from December last year which took place only 4 days before Christmas.  We were definitely feeling festive!  Melanie and Chris got married at Cressbrook Hall with a candlelit ceremony in the granary.

What was so beautiful about this winter wedding was that the colour pallet chosen was whites and silvers to give the whole look that wintery feel.  The usual winter pallet consists of dark reds and greens which don't get us wrong we love but it was so cool to do something different.  The flowers chosen were David Austin roses 'patience', dahlia's, white gypsophila, lisianthus, spray roses, kochia, dusty miller and white hyacinth.

Massive thanks to Bon Bon Photography for sharing these stunning photographs with us.  I love how they even managed to get a couple of pictures of our very own Queen T delivering.  Brilliant!

Katie and Ross, Kelham Island, Sheffield - Texture, Trails, and Seasonal Sprigs

Hi all,

So today I am not only blogging a wedding from this year, it is actually the first wedding we did this year.  A gorgeous wedding at one of our favourite venue's to work at, Kelham Island.  Ross looked very smart in his army uniform, Katie wanted a more soft and natural look for herself which reflected in the style of her flowers.

For Katie's bridal bouquet Katie went for a round hand tied with a 'just picked' look, lots of trails and plenty of texture.  T's design included white thistles, seasonal tulips, ranunculus, dusty miller, pine cones, berries, 'memory lane' roses (my favourite), freesia, cotinus, veronica, cream lisianthus, scabious seed pods, eucalyptus, brunia, white wax flower, blue thistles and greenbell.

All the bridesmaids including the super cute flower girl had smaller versions of Katie's bouquet.  The buttonholes were a sprig design again with flowers from the bridal bouquet.

Katie and Ross chose adorable little crystal vases filled with little flowers sprigs for the table decorations which worked so well.  I love this idea as you get the gorgeous florals and still get to see each other across the dinner table.

Massive thanks to ILTO Photography for letting us use these gorgeous images.

Enjoy!
